Walk in the Park

This summer I have really enjoyed taking a walk through the park, and taking time to truly enjoy and savor having some quiet time. I have found that taking photographs gives me a chance to really appreciate what nature brings. So this weekend gave Jarrod and I a chance to take another walk through El Dorado Park, and enjoy.

These are some of the photos I've taken this summer. I've noticed that each day I go there I see something different. One day it is the ducks who come over to greet me, literally at my feet. Another day it is a rabbit that comes out of nowhere and is undaunted by me being 6' away. Sometimes it is turtles climbing over each other to sun themselves. Or yesterday it was spiderwebs everywhere, and some interesting leaves with sun shining through them. And what drives me crazy is that the park is literally 5 minutes from my home. So close and yet I feel like I am transported somewhere far away.

Anyway I think the environs bring out my creative side (though judging from that last sentence it definitely isn't in my writing). It is really nice to enjoy the small things. Hope you enjoy the pics.
